Ballistic Galvanometer is a type of sensitive galvanometer. The device has a long oscillation period as the moving parts have a large moment of inertia. It woks as an Integrator to measure the charge and discharged following it.
A knob at back is provided for clamping and releasing the coil. With levelling screws. The device has an adjusting knurled knob situated at the top to raise, lower or set to zero.
